New yard waste subscription service: Yard waste collection is now an optional service that will cost $15/month + tax starting the beginning of May and ending November 30th. If you choose not to subscribe, the remote yard waste sites will remain available at no cost. Yard waste will be collected weekly on your regular collection day. Yard waste will no longer be collected in brown paper bags. Instead, materials must be placed in a 95-gallon plastic curbside container, which will be serviced just like garbage and recycling cans. Residents who subscribe will receive their yard waste container at the end of April. If you sign up, you are committing to the entire season (until the end of November). For example, you cannot only sign up for May & June. |
The yard waste containers at the remote sites are put out seasonally from May - November at the remote sites. Yard waste will need to come out to the landfill December through the end of April. Our transfer station at the landfill entrance is open 24/7 and has yard waste containers all year round or you can utilize the Scale during normal business hours. Yard waste is free to dispose of for residents to dispose of at the remote sites and $30/ton for commercial businesses to dispose of at the landfill. The remote sites are for residential use only. It is illegal to place yard waste in your regular trash can or the recycling can. |
