How do you dispose of them?
Many of these will have to wait until the next Household Hazardous Waste event.

These are some items that can be disposed outside of the HHW event
These items still must be disposed of carefully and properly.
Antifreeze
For small quantities, it can be bulked up by adding kitty litter, dirt, sawdust, or any absorbent.
Once bulked up (no more liquid) you can place it inside of your regular trash can.
For large quantities, you must wait until the next HHW.
Car Batteries
Ace Steel and Recycling, Rapid City Landfill, Batteries and Bulbs Plus, Interstate Battery, and O'Reillys will take them.
Paint
Paint can be bulked up by adding kitty litter, dirt, sawdust, or any absorbent.
Once bulked up (no more liquid) you can place it inside of your regular trash can.
Motor Oil
Walmart, O'Reilly's and the Rapid City Landfill will take used oil that is not contaminated with water or antifreeze. Check out this page for more details.
Fluorescent Light Bulbs/CFLs
Lowe's will recycle CFL's for free.
Lighting Maintenance Co and Badger State Recovery will recycle any fluorescent bulbs.
