Sharps / Needles / Lancets

Sharps and needles are not accepted in our garbage or curbside recycling programs. We would really appreciate it if they are disposed of in one of these three locations in a non-penetrable container! Our staff directly handles the garbage and we don't want anyone getting poked.

Sharps (needles and syringes) must be placed in a designated sharps container or non-penetrable container (like a detergent bottle) with a 1:3 ratio of bleach solution.

​Once the container is full, shake it so that all of the needles are rinsed by the bleach solution. Then empty out all liquids and seal the container and then drop it off at any of these three locations.
