A lot of food brands have the recycling symbol on the bag. It can be deceiving! Most are marketing that their bags are made from recycled material. Not that they are recyclable at your local facility. 

Here in Rapid City, we don't recycle any pet food bags!
Please place all bags inside of the regular garbage (bagged and tied please so they don't fly out of your can or our trucks while they are driving!) if you don't want to utilize any of the programs below. 

There is something that you can do at home.
You can sign up for a program through TerraCycle. 
They have different programs set up with food brands and some of them are even free.
