HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) Milk jugs | Laundry detergent bottles | Shampoo bottles Milk jugs, colored plastic bottles like laundry detergent or shampoo bottles are recyclable! It can also be found in many different types of packaging or trash/shopping bags. If you recycle these containers, it will likely be recycled into another laundry detergent bottle, motor oil bottles, pens, recycling containers, floor tile, drainage pipe, park benches, decking material, dog houses, or fencing. HDPE is a very versatile plastic with many uses especially for packaging. It carries a low risk of leaching and readily recyclable into many different items. We cannot recycle packaging or trash/shopping bags at our facility, even if they are a #2 plastic.
