​All appliances except Freon bearing appliances are accepted at the 
​Rapid City Landfill.

​Check out rate page for the current disposal fees! If you bring in your city utility bill that shows you pay for city garbage, you can dump up to 1000lbs per month for free. 


Pacific Steel Recycling will take Freon bearing appliances but there is a $30 fee. 
They are the only place in Rapid City to take anything with Freon in it.
