Paint
The ReStore will take it if it's new and unopened.
Otherwise, the paint must be bulked up or solidified before you throw it away. Sawdust, kitty litter, dirt, and sunshine all work great. You can also dump it out on some cardboard and let it dry! Paint Brushes & Paint Rollers If it's in decent condition, please donate to the ReStore.
Otherwise, you can place it in your regular trash container. Paint Cans Once the paint is out of the container, place it in the recycling bin!
If you cannot get the dried paint out of the container, place all of the contents inside of your regular trash can. Paint Thinner Paint thinner is a hazardous chemical that must be disposed of properly at our Household Hazardous Waste event. It's dangerous to pour down the drain! It will get into your drinking water and the chemical fumes can stay in your pipes.
Please check out our Upcoming Events page to see if we have scheduled our next event yet. This event is held every other year. If you'd like a few more details on Hazardous Chemicals, head over here. |
