The Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) is a
​bi-annual event that we hold to safely dispose of all harmful chemicals as there is no hazardous waste facility in the area.

This is a free event. 
However, we are running a food drive for Feeding South Dakota if you'd like to bring a donation.

The 2023 HHW event is going to be held on 
October 14th, 2023
at the
Central States Fairgrounds 
from
8am to 1pm

* We will not be accepting paint for this event. * Head here to learn how to get rid of it at home.

* Used motor oil will also not be accepted *
The landfill accepts used motor oil year round on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8-3pm.

Walmart and O'Reillys will also take used motor oil in five gallon or less increments.
