During cleanup week, we waive all of our landfill fees for Rapid City residents
(except tires & mattresses/box springs). 

That's right. Completely free. 

Commercial businesses are not included in this event.
Commercial businesses are still welcome to use the landfill during cleanup week, but normal tipping fees apply.

You can come in April 20th - April 24th, 2026 during our regular business hours to take advantage of this!


The normal rules still apply.
• We still can't accept freon bearing appliances. You can take freon bearing appliances to Pacific Steel and Recycling.

• We cannot accept liquids. We are a SOLID waste facility! Liquids must be bulked up or hardened before disposal.

• No paint. It must be hardened or bulked up with floor dry/kitty litter before bringing it out.

• No hazardous material or chemicals. We do not have the next Household Hazardous Waste event scheduled yet, but keep checking the event page for updates!
